Oh Why Not…100% of this month’s profits from “A Little Too Broken” donated to IAVA and WWP

September 27, 2013 // 2 Comments

I made about $150 in royalties on “A Little Too Broken” this month (close enough, math class is hard, and the last few days of September won’t make much of a change in that total).  And that’s not so much to me right now that I need to hold onto it for dear life, so rather than donating 10% as promised, I thought, what the hell. So I split it up between IAVA and the Wounded Warrior Project, both of whom do great work.  You can make your own donations in any amount to these organizations via these links right here [MORE]

Moving slow today!

Running a little low on gas these days.  I got a “half scene” done this a.m., a mere 1000 words, so I’ll hold off on posting till I have a “full scene.” I had a lot of personal stress last week that’s over now, but I’m still “coming down” from it.  Amazing how long that takes.  Coming down involves sleeping shockingly late (sometimes even till 5 am!), which cuts into writing hours, as well as losing some of the frantic energy that you run on when you’re in Full Stress Mode. So I may be a little less productive in the coming two weeks or so.  My vacation starts a week from today, WHOO!  I won’t be taking my computer with me, but I will have my tablet so I can post and comment. Wow, I have written about NINETY THOUSAND words since July 25 – all of “A Little Too Broken” and 50k of “Given the Circumstances.”  With a full time job!  And school!  No wonder I’m tired! You guys have [MORE]

Installment #16 – The Lights of Times Square…

September 24, 2013 // 2 Comments

Warning!  Hot sexin’ comin’ through!  Hot plate, hon!   They doubled their efforts on their class project, because they were about to lose a weekend.  December 13th was the Heisman ceremony in New York City, and Roger had been nominated alongside Sam Bradford and Colt McCoy. “I’m not going,” he said to general gasps.  “I’ve spent so much time on football that my schoolwork is suffering.  I can’t afford to lose that time.”  Which of course got plenty of play in the press and brought him even more adoration, adulation, attention from the pro scouts. “You have to go,” Coach Orson said.  “You have to represent your team, and your school.” “You have to go,” Brian said.  “You’re going to fucking win this thing.” “You have to go,” Jacob said.  “Because I want to see you get what you’ve worked so hard for all these years.  And, I want to go, I want to be a part of this.  I want to see this.  This is huge!”  With the zeal [MORE]

Installment #15 – IT’S HERE. ROGER AND BRIAN TOGETHER AT LAST!

September 21, 2013 // 6 Comments

Damn I posted this and it vaporized..o well!  Here it is!  Six thousand two hundred and fifty words of hot man lovin’ for your weekend pleasure…   Two days later, they met at the library to work on their project.  Roger was already at one of the bigger tables in the library when Brian arrived.  He had his work spread out across one side of the table, leaving Brian no option but to take the other, far side.  It was a clear message – Roger’s defensive line was set, cross it at your peril. “So,” Roger said coolly.  “We need to decide if we want to go in this direction with the Condottieri.  If it’s really relevant to the presentation.” Brian nodded.  I can do this, he told himself, be a good student, set other things aside to focus on the task.  “It could be a lot more work.  But the fact is that if the Florentines didn’t hire mercenaries, if they’d gone and fought their wars themselves, they wouldn’t have had the time to pass, or enforce, [MORE]

…And the scene draft is done…

September 20, 2013 // 1 Comment

Whoo!  This scene is longer than some of my old stories!  I’m going to make another pass at it tomorrow a.m. before pubbing, but yeah.  Get yer selves lubed up, because Brad’s gonna make.  You.  Cum. Now I totally want a Brian of my own – I guess that’s the sign I’ve done something right, [MORE]

…and this scene is not EVEN half done.  I hope you love it as much as I do.  ME SO HORNY just writing it.  The goal is to get it to you Saturday morning – no promises!  But probably. [MORE]

Tightened up my outline for the rest of the book

September 18, 2013 // 2 Comments

And feel really good about it now.  I knew how it would end, of course, but not exactly how I’d get there.  Now I’ve got it set in “soft stone” – soft because you never know how characters are going to force you to change your direction as you go.  But I’ve been with these guys long enough now to know what they will or won’t do in a crisis…  For better and for worse! So…I start writing the big scene tomorrow.  I needed a breather – yeah, two whole days of rest and reflection, a thousand years in gayrom selfpubbing [MORE]

Installment #14 – Brian and Roger both get a shock…

September 16, 2013 // 2 Comments

Curse my football prediction skills.  Broncos -15 was low. This is the last post for a few days, guys and gals.  #1, I’m behind on homework (curse you, football, for being so good), so I gotta catch up.  #2 I need a breather before the next scene, because… #3: the next scene is…THE BIG ONE.  And it’s going to be long.  And it’s going to be hot.  I’m going to make sure it’s damn good.  That it’s the best love scene I’ve ever done ever.  So grease up and get ready cuz it’s coming at ya 🙂   The team had a ritual, initiated by Antoine Phoenix a few years earlier.  The evening before the last game of the season, they gathered together at the home of whoever had the largest television.  Then they watched “Troy” to fire up for the game. All the more appropriate this year, Roger thought with a grin, as the Trojans got sacked in the movie.  The whole team shook the foundations of the house when they shouted [MORE]

It’s FUHBAW Day! And the cover is in for “Given the Circumstances”!

September 15, 2013 // 1 Comment

Awesome Aubrey Watt made my cover; we’re going with the sepia football dude I’ve been posting in here for a while. 0 words today, because it’s FUHBAW day, as Eli Manning would say.  Yeah, that game is gonna suck sauce to watch if you’re a Giants fan.  I predict Broncos -14, I’m very sorry to say. HALF TIME EDIT!!! I’d take it back but maybe it’s like an uncurse…if I say how terrible they’ll do, they’ll win!  WHOO DON’T GO GIANTS!!!! But!  Johnny Football beat the spread yesterday so I made $18.20 on my $20 bet!  WHOOO!  And I picked Michigan last week 🙂  So I must be a genius, right?  (Or lucky!)  I’ll post next week’s pick on Saturday a.m. and see if I can go for the [MORE]
